Hear Us Talk!

Okay, so, Ragnell and I ended up interviewed in Lene Taylor's podcast.

The link's here, so you can hear what we sound like.

I'm the one with the piercing voice and the godawful lisp. Eek.

Anyway, I haven't listened yet (horrible stagefright), so I have no idea how I come across. Ragnell and Lene are worth listening to, though. :-)

(ETA: Having listened to it...Blechh, now I remember *why* I hate recordings of myself speaking.)

The response I posted to Ragnell's post about this could equally have been posted here as my comments were directed at both of you.

    I ♥ you guys.

I thought you both came across very well.

Audio recordings always distort the voice to some degree, depending on the quality of the equipment.

Anyway, I think everyone hates how they sound when they listen to themselves on tape. Most of my friends tell me I've got quite a good speaking voice, but I count myself lucky if I don't come off sounding like a Somerset farmer.

Thanks. I'm sensitive about my speech. :-P

    Your voices sounded fine.

The problem was with the volume. It's difficult to match the volume of three people from three different areas, using (I assume) non-professional equipment. It was a little annoying having to adjust the volume for every speaker.

But quibbling about sound quality aside, it was great hearing you guys speak. Are you planning on doing any more of this sort of thing in the future?

Aww thanks. And yeah, the volume was a problem. Poor Lene, she really couldn't, I'd imagine, do anything that would make Ragnell easier to hear without making me even more piercing.

It was fun though. I certainly wouldn't mind gettig the chance to do it again some time. :-)
