Lesson in Philosophy

Here is a lesson in philosophy inspired by GL v3 151.

There are two types of people in the world. Those that would bite that big squishy bear and those that would not.

I know which I am...(*CHOMP*)

Which are you?

Depends on the flavor. If it's sour apple, you can count me in.

That was the second Green Lantern comic I ever bought.

brandon: It's a construct, of *course* it does.

diamondrock: Hee, but would ya bite it?

What I wanna know is: How does it taste?

Hey bears are instruments of GOOD. I would never bite a big teddy bear.

Now a big squishy penguin, on the other hand, I'd tear into that sucker.

    Mmmm, giant green gummy bear.

("What flavor is it?" "It's... green!")

I'd bite it, no question. Even if it wasn't sour apple flavour, I'd still bite it.

dan: Who *cares*, it's a squishy bear!

calvin: Aww, but, admittedly penguins are fun to bite too.

    athelind: Yummy.

tekanji: It really is incredibly biteable isn't it?

I know I'm going to regret this, since by knowing I will destroy the glory of the scene, but I must ask: WHY does Kyle think a big, squishy teddy bear (I imagine his name is Squeezey Meatcheeks) is going to stop this man? I mean, what could possibly motivate him to use a giant squishy teddy bear as a weapon capable of stopping that guy?

Was he going to a slumber party with Hal, brain-damaged Guy and Ch'p and planning to have a naked pillow fight with them and he was so caught up in that fantasy that he never thought to consider what it was he was doing?

Is it some bizarre subconscious thing in which it is discovered in this issue that he associates giant teddy bears with middle-aged bald men who enjoy biting things?

    I.....MUST.......KNOW!

    Short answer: yes. :-P

Long answer: People are starting to act crazy all over the city, Kyle wanted to subdue the guy (and does) without hurting him so he could figure out what's going on.

    Why a teddy bear, I don't know. :-)

    zaratustra: They're yummy.
