Bizarre Slash Pairing I'd Read:

I like slash. But I'm tired of the most common pairings. Sometimes, a gal just wants to see something different.

You know what I want to see?

Nemesis and the Question slash.

Seriously, the man with any face paired with the no-faced guy.

Well, it makes sense in my head...

Does Montoya/Question count as slash? Because I'm growing increasingly fond of the idea of them as a couple and suspect I'm going to catch hell for that.

I'm not sure if we can still be friends.

Plus, why not go with the Human Target?

anthony: Yep. More identity questions than you can shake a stick at.

flidget: Yes, yes you are. :-P

chris: Maybe he can join a threesome in the sequel.

DOES writing a gay or lesbian character into a heterosexual coupling count as "slash"?

Erich: Well, traditionally the term "slash" started with fanzines in the sixties/seventies, I've heard.

The slash was used to note a romantic pairing. Any romantic pairing initially. Kirk/Spock, Kirk/Uhura, et al.

However for whatever reason the homosexual pairings became most common. And thus associated with the term slash. Hence the current use of the term.

But if you're going by the traditional interpretation, Question/Montoya would be slash.

    Anthony: Maybe in the sequel.

I'm still scared by the fact there's Green Lantern/Green Arrow slash.

    Hard-Traveling Heroes, indeed...

    Dan: Not that I've seen.

Starman: Well, Hal/Ollie's pretty rare. Ollie's hard to slash.

    Kyle/Connor's pretty common though. :-)

A is A. (as in "asexual," perhaps?)

Would an Ultra-Humanite and The Brain pairing make more sense than Monsieur Mallah and the Ultra-Humanite?

    Brain-on-Ape or Ape-on-Ape action?

    I'm confused.

    erich: coooould beee. :-P

brandon: tsk. We *never* break up true love like that. Leave Mallah and Brain alone. :-)

Speaking of slash and Green Lantern, I wonder if there's been a bumper crop of Kyle/Hal fanfic since Hal got the ring back...
