Huh.

Dan Didio's writing Outsiders?

Huh. Well, I've never hated the guy like some folk, so I'll give it a shot. I don't think I've ever read anything by him, so I can't really say if I like his style or not. But well, honestly, I don't have much interest in the Outsiders anyway, so if he's bad, well, I'm not likely to care.

I'm kind of curious to see what he comes up with.

Judging by his work in the holiday anthologies and on Wednesday Comics' "Metal Men" he should be ok. As a writer he seems solid enough but nothing really special. Which honestly fits him in well with everyone who's been put on the book since Winnick left...

And maybe with the EiC writing it the book will have some kind of consistent direction again...

I really liked Peter Tomasi's run on it, but that might be just because he understands the Bat-family better than anyone else DC currently has, Grant Morrison included. The Alfred-moment in "Batman and the Outsiders" special that he wrote where Batman 'died'...

He is a good writer, maybe some of his ideas are a little controversial, but it doesn't take the fact that he is a good writer.
