The Summers Family is still kind of fucked up:
This panel is from Uncanny X-Men #391, in which we see some long overdue Summers family bonding. And also, Corsair is still a dick.

Aww, it's kind of cute. In a dysfunctional, too macho or repressed to come out and say 'I love you' kind of way. Though: "if it never comes up again"? REALLY? Never again? You are such a CRAP father, Corsair.
And that's not even counting the fact that he can backhand his kid to the ground but can't HUG him. Fucker.
Corsair had better get resurrected, damnit, if only so I can see him get his ass kicked but good.

Quite! It's not like either kid even changed their names! He could have looked!

I guess it's possible that he didn't know the way back to earth. The Shi'ar, unlike the Kree and Skrull empires didn't actually really care about the insignificant planet that Corsair was from until the X-men came along.
On the other hand, asking Jean to hide his identity from Scott after she found out in the M'kraan Crystal was kind of a dick move.

Yep, and most of this issue involved Corsair making stupid slip ups that he'd know if he made any effort to keep tabs on his son after the reunion.
Scott only lost it when after two pretty minor screw-ups, (which got at worst mildly sulky responses from his son) Corsair decided to be all "This isn't working" and made to leave.
So even if he does have a good excuse like that (which Scott would actually understand), he's still a dick. :-)
