Pretty, Fizzy Paradise

I'm back! And reading! And maybe even blogging! No promises!

Yep

Okay, today was kind of miserable. So I'm enlisting you guys to perk me up. :-P Tell me about something that makes you happy? Or a good thing that happened to you? Or a funny story? Or a good book you read?

Anything would do. I beseech you!

I've started reading Elizabeth Enright's Melendy series to my seven-year-old son. They're still some of my favourite books of ever. Tonight we started the second book, The Four-Story Mistake. He likes them! I wouldn't have been crushed if he hadn't, but I'm glad that he does.

Anyway, I don't know if you like reading books that are pitched at a kid's level (about 10-12 years old in this case, I think), but these ones always put me in a good mood.

I often read this when I'm feeling dreary. I always end up laughing like a loon by the time I'm done.

(Normally I'm Aridawnia here, but it keeps eating my post when I use AIM)

Ragnell's last post made me happy.

We're also rereading childhood favorites in my book club, which is nice, but we've topped it with Sweet Valley Confidential, which is hilarious in a painful way.

My family and I are watching Pushing Daisies, which always charms the heck out of me. It's streaming like everywhere.

Why, reading new comics of course! Actually reading ANY comics always cheers me up. Or books. Or magazines, or medicine bottles in a pinch.

I really DO love to read.
