Guardians of the Galaxy?

Given how expensive and time consuming movies are nowadays, I rarely go out to see one in the theater without getting a good recommendation first.

So...Guardians of the Galaxy.  Worth seeing?

I do like assholes, goofiness and explosions.  So I'm mildly optimistic.  But I do like having a second opinion.

I have read a few negative reviews, mostly from people who thought it was predictable. Those people have forgotten how to sit back and have fun. GotG was great fun and I plan to see it again and buy the DVD when it's released. Everyone I know who has seen it has loved it.

Haven't seen it yet, but it does sound like fun.

It was really good. They did a great job of making the characters accessible while appealing to old time Marvel readers. A friend of mine that can nit-pick at movies liked it. My kids in the church youth group which is largely middle school girls liked it. So it has some appeal.

It just works. From the music to the hidden gems like ALF trading cards in the background the movie works. In a way it was more fun than the Avengers.

Stay to the absolute end of the credits. It is short but worth it to hardcore comic geeks.

Definitely. My wife who is way less into comics than I am, laughed out loud frequently, cried a couple of times, and danced along. I've seen it twice already. The only thing that kept me from liking it better than Avengers was not knowing the characters since I was a lad.
